Jun 04, 2020 EIA estimates U.S. recoverable coal reserves at about 252 billion short tons, of which about 58% is underground mineable coal. Recoverable reserves at producing mines are the amount of recoverable reserves that coal mining companies report to EIA for their U.S. coal mines that produced more than 25,000 short tons of coal in a year.

Coal reserves. World coal reserves in 2020 stood at 1074 billion tonnes and are heavily concentrated in just a few countries: US (23%), Russia (15%), Australia (14%) and China (13%). Most of the reserves are anthracite and bituminous (70%). The current global R/P ratio shows that coal reserves in 2020 accounted for 139 years of current
Jan 01, 2013 The Reserve Base includes coal categories based on the same distance parameters given for coal resources but further defining the coal thickness and depth criteria, i.e. anthracite and bituminous coal to be 0.7 m or more, subbituminous coal to be 1.5 m or more, all to occur at depths not more than 300 m, lignite to be 1.5 m or more at depths
Some of the following general definitions of coal resources and supplementary terms are amplified elsewhere in this report by criteria and guidelines for usage. The criteria and guidelines may be revised periodically to reflect changing national needs without affecting the definitions. All definitions herein refer only to usage in this coal
We expect global coal demand to fall by about 8% in 2020, the largest drop since World War II, with coal use declining in virtually every sector of every region in the world. In China, coal demand will decline in 2020 by around 5%, despite the gradual recovery since February lockdown. Coal-fired power generation will be hit especially hard, because the power system is crowded by low variable

Kentucky Coal Resource Information. This website contains data and maps pertaining to 17 of Kentucky’s most productive coal beds. In 2014, remaining coal resources greater than 28 inches thick were estimated for these beds by subtracting mined areas from previously established estimates of original coal resources.

Feb 01, 2019 Queensland coal reserves revised upwards as resources exploration gets a boost 1 February 2019 The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) has welcomed the Palaszczuk Government’s decision to award tenders for the exploration of coal in the Bowen and Surat basins and minerals in the North West Province.
and revised in 1925, the total coal reserves of the state were more than 63 billion tons. If a new survey were made at this date, later informat~on now available would probably increase these figures appreciably; however it should be borne in mind that some beds included in such an estimate are noncommercial under present con
The underground Coal Reserves were accessed through an adit in the existing highwall of one of the open pits. Studies commenced in 2019 with structural groundwork starting in early 2020 and first coal from the new S4L underground workings extracted on 19 November 2020. The S4L underground Coal Reserves will provide an estimated 12 years to LoM.
The original coal resources of Alaska, as estimated in this report, total 130,125 million tons, including 19,429 million tons of bituminous coal and 110,696 million regional basis and were extensively revised as field investigations pro duced new information. CRITERIA FOR COAL RESOURCE/RESERVE IDENTIFICATION. Estimates of the different classes of coal resources and reserves are arbitrarily based upon three criteria: (1) thickness, rank, and quality of the coal bed, (2) depth of the coal bed, and (3) the proximity of the coal resource data upon which the estimate was based.

3) The coal resources at PCS, SCM and LSA were estimated as at Dec. 31, 2019. The CP was Joseph Crisostomo MAusIMM, of PT Adaro Jasabara Indonesia. Increase in SCM and LSA coal resources are due to updated geological model from new drilling and update of the coal resource pit applying a revised coal price assumption and production cost parameters.
